Where Else Could It Go?

EMPTY Tyvek mailing envelopes with metal parts and paper labels removed can be placed in an orange Hefty® ReNew® bag.

FirstStar Recycling offers this special program to collect hard-to-recycle plastics in our community. To participate, you can purchase orange Hefty® ReNew® bags, which will be collected through your existing curbside and drop-off site services. When filled with accepted materials and tied shut, the bright orange Hefty® ReNew® bag is the ONLY bag that can be placed in a curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. Ways to Reduce or Reuse

Reduce waste by purchasing mailing supplies made from 100% recyclable materials. For example: cardboard, plain paper, and all-paper padded envelopes are all accepted in the City of Omaha's recycling program.

Reuse mailers to ship your own items - just cover the old label and re-seal the opened end.

Did You Know

Tyvek may feel like paper, but it is actually a synthetic plastic material. Tyvek is often used for Priority and Express Mail envelopes, and is also found in other products, such as wristbands for concerts, lightweight CD sleeves, and construction materials like house wrap.
