Receipts
Accepted in City of Omaha Recycling
Place receipt paper in a curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container.
- Items should be clean and dry
- Keep items loose and do not bag
Tip: Receipts smaller than 3 inches should be placed inside of a larger paper envelope that you plan to recycle.
Ways to Reduce or Reuse
When making a purchase, ask for an emailed copy instead of paper, or skip the receipt altogether.
Did You Know
Due to their small size and flat shape, paper pieces or scraps that are smaller than 3" frequently fall out of the recycling system and can end up going to the landfill. To ensure a small piece of paper can be recycled, tuck it inside of a larger paper envelope and then place it in your recycling cart or container.
