Take real Christmas trees to one of the City of Omaha's seasonal Christmas Tree Collection Sites. See dates, locations, and hours at:
Wasteline.org- Remove all nails, wires, ornaments, decor, lights, and tree stands
- If your tree is bagged for transport, take your bag home to discard in garbage
- NO wreaths or evergreen roping accepted, discard these in garbage
- Flocked trees are ok
Where Else Could It Go?
Real Christmas trees can be composted for a fee if taken to the Hillside Solutions/Soil Dynamics drop-off site near Eppley Airfield. This service is available through a one-time drop fee or a paid subscription program. All hardware, decor, plastics, lights, and stands need to be removed. Learn more at:
