Musical Greeting Cards

Some Restrictions Apply

MISC Musical Greeting Card

ACCEPTED: Plain Paper with Sound Components Removed

Musical greeting cards that sing or talk when opened contain hidden electronic parts. Carefully cut out the inner sound and battery components.

Place the paper portion of the card in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container along with other paper items.

  • Plain paper envelopes are also ok
  • Keep items loose and do not bag

Tip: Reference the Batteries section of the Omaha Recycling Guide for proper battery disposal. If alkaline, discard in garbage.

MISC Musical Greeting Card

NOT ACCEPTED: Cards with Sound Components Inside; Cards with Metallic Decoration or Glitter

DO NOT place cards or envelopes with shiny foil, metallic decorations, or glitter in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. DO NOT recycle cards that still have the musical components intact.
