DO NOT place disposable lighters or containers that held lighter fluid in a City of Omaha curbside recycling cart or drop-off site container. Flammable liquids are considered household hazardous waste and require special handling.
If you have product leftover, the best option is to use up the material for its intended purpose. Lighters and containers with leftover liquid contents should be taken to the City's special waste facility, UnderTheSink.
Tip: Completely EMPTY disposable lighters may be placed in the garbage. Empty containers that held lighter fluid should be dried out before placing in the garbage.
